The Etruscans were a group of mysterious people who arrived from Rome around 900BCE. They were said to be a lot like the Greeks being having the same alphabet as them and there Gods looked human just like the greek Gods did.
But they were not Greek. From what artifacts the Etruscans left behind, Women and Men were treated fairly and equal in status. That was not the Greek way of life.
The Etruscans formed into city-states ruled by a King. These city states all worked together as a league. The league was called the Etruscans League. This league began trade with people in the East and across the African Coast line. The early Romans learned a lot from the Etruscan traders.
While the Etruscans were building there own civilization, Rome became more powerful. Some of Rome’s first kings were Etruscans.
